Crafting item values?
How much are wood planks worth? I have about 121 and I'm never going to use a one of them. I'm selling all the materials I don't need to make money towards my Droknar's armor set.

Yeah, but how much does it cost to craft it into parchment? Is the profit that good that it's worth paying to craft?

20 gold + 5 Wood Planks = 1 Parchment. 1 Parchment sells for about 70 gold I think, maybe more. I do it a lot, it helps when I'm low on cash.

You can easily sell wood for 10g a piece.

If you have loads of iron and glittering dust you can use them all to make Deldrimor Steel. The merchant prices fluctuate a lot on this - If you're patient and observant you can make a killing.

What about these bones, granite slabs, feathers, and glittering dust?

IMO - sell the bones, granite slabs and feathers - not worth keeping. I keep glittering dust because it's used in the manufacture of many different materials (use search function)- even though it's raw resale is not very good. It's up to you.

And all these carapaces? Charr hides? It's about time I cleaned all this crap out.
Also, what's the best way to get iron ingots? I still need A LOT for my Droknar's set. Last edited by Soup4Brains; Aug 19, 2005 at 01:21 AM // 01:21.. |

Swords and Wands and Hammers usually yield iron ingots. I have nearly 400 of them now. Unless the sword, wand or hammer is of great value I will just salvage it into iron ingots. Costs 4gp a salvage and many times I get several ingots per salvage. Special mob armor drops also yield iron ingots or steel or tanned hide squares. And unless you are just looking for a rare item, using the regular salvage kits is sufficient for these as well. Dyessa Lowlands and Flame Temple Corridor are a good place to farm for iron items, the Charr drop a lot of armor and salvageable weapons for iron.

Thanks. I knew to salvage armor and the like to get ingots, but never knew what were the best farming spots.

I'm going to assume that 400 is 250 in storage and another 150 on the character? I say this cuz I can't seem to hold anymore than 250 of any one item in storage.

You can have multiple stacks of stuff in your storage. Also, some monk armor uses feathers and parchment, so those planks might be kinda useful later on.

Shells are quite useless. If you are in need of a price check, just go to the nearest material trader and see what they offer for you and what they sell for. That should give at least SOME estimate as to their price.

If he's selling at 20 each and buying at 14 each then I go 17 each. Still cheaper than he sells and I can make a little more profit than he would give me. |

Wood will instantly sell in Drok's for 10 gp. I frequently wait until I have a full stack of 250 and then sell it for 2.7K (slightly less than 11 gp each). One cycle through the various districts usually does the trick.

Yesterday I wanted to buy... materials, cloths, wood, don't remember. But I whisper the uy, asked for the price, and told me 50g each... went to the material trader, and see that this material was selling for 190 for 10 pieces. I said, I will buy from you.. for 19 each.. and he said no, not enough!
Can you tell me what kind of fool will buy something two times his value ?! |

If you have char hides trade them to the collecter next to the merchant in Ascalon City. She'll give you fur. That will sell for a lot.
